    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at University of Calgary as a contractor (More than 8 years)

    Pros

It is a good place to start your career since it gives a lot of independence to work the way you like.

    Cons

    - No plan to integrate work force
    - Nobody cares about the postdocs, instructors and in fact most of the students unless someone knows someone higher-up
    - At the end of the day (or years) you don't know where you are going to be headed

    Advice to Management

It is good to celebrate the success of the University but does someone care about those people who put in their day and night and their most active years for this success. What is the plan for absorption of such people who are Adjunct and sort of highly skilled temporary workforce? This university can never become highly ranked if no one cares about the people working or students enrolled. SHAME ON IT. I have stopped recommending any students going for study anywhere because it doesn't matter. STUDIES ARE FOR DUMP PEOPLE. They don't know how to interact and make connections and be successful like the University of Calgary?

I worked at University of Calgary as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Laid back, friendly people. The work you do is very valuable and impactful in general.

    Cons

Inconsistent workloads mean you work super hard and then not at all. Some work we did because we were told to, not because it made sense.

    Advice to Management

Overall, they do a pretty good job. Maybe be better at spreading the work out.
