I worked at University of California Berkeley part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

For the most part, great faculty and great students (engaged, interested in the material - minus the few obnovious pre-meds). A culture invested in learning and exchanging ideas. Very high academic standards, which was a pleasure to teach.

    Cons

Sprawling bureaucracy, many incompetent employees with frequent mistakes - for examples, I did not get paid on time no less than 3 times in 2.5 years and had to contact many people to figure out the problem.
