I have been working at University of California Berkeley full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's an enjoyable academic environment to work at and while there is a fair amount of stress and long working hours, the science done here is world class. In addition, even though it's highly competitive, people are quite friendly and helpful which is unusual for a world class university.

    Cons

Obviously as a graduate student or postdoc, you are paid well below value, but it is an excellent training program as well.

    Advice to Management

Be kind to your students and postdocs, they have enough stress in life, so make the work environment pleasant as possible.

    Pros

    The overall experience was positive.

    Cons

The company seemed to be all over the place. Trying to contact management to ask questions was a hassle, and no one seemed to know the answers to any questions that the employees had. In addition, the pay was monthly, so that was difficult to manage.
