I have been working at University of Central Arkansas part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I am a student at UCA and I work part-time as a tutor for the Center for Writing and Communication. Working here has been great, especially as a full-time student. The pay is fair, and the center directors are kind and helpful.

    Cons

The only bad thing is that you aren't able to work over most of the breaks, so it's helpful to either save your money or pickup a seasonal job during the winter and spring for extra cash during these times.

    Advice to Management

The only advice I have is to keep it up. Their values are clear and followed, they treat employees fairly, and strive to help their students the most that they can.

I worked at University of Central Arkansas full-time

    Pros

Worked with wonderful people who were passionate and really cared about their work.

    Cons

They jerked around on salary, promised one salary and then changed it after accepting the job. Was treated as "less than" by some faculty. The higher-up administrative ranks are notoriously troubled, which is common knowledge and easy to find on Google.

I have been working at University of Central Arkansas full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You will receive a lot of benefits: wellness benefits, free access to the gym, discounts to performances, reduced co-pay for visiting the Health Center, free counseling...the list goes on.

    Cons

If you are a professor, you pretty much have free reign over your time. If you are professional staff, how much flexibility you have depends on the division for which you work. Some supervisors are sticklers about every second you're supposed to be on the clock. Also, UCA provides the lowest pay in the state for certain types of non-teaching opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Consider flex time and working from home as options for people whose jobs permit it. Productivity and morale will increase.
