    Great position to still be on campus while exploring potential opportunities in the future, whether it is for continued education or a higher position.

    Cons

    Pay at a government entity is always going to be lower than in the private sector.

    Reduced rent
    Live where you work (no commute)
    Well connected with other communities on campus
    Builds a strong sense of community with UCF

    Cons

    Rent depends on community, you have "preferences" but do not have final say on community choice
    Sometimes communication does not reach this level of employee, stays with management
    Work where you live, sometimes work follows you home. Expect to work full time occassionally

    Communicate expectations better.
    Make sure that necessary information reaches the RA level, instead of staying at management level

    If you end up in a bad lab with not-so-good labmates and not-so-good professor, then the graduate research/student life could be more challenging
