    Great environment with work/life balance. Wonderful opportunities for personal enrichment. Many good individuals.

    Politics are strong, some weak administrators.

    Advice to Management

    Focus more on doing the right thing for the University and less on self preservation.

    Pros

    Flexible schedule, as long as you work 50+ hours.

    Cons

    The pay in academia is horrendous, the hours are horrendous, and the expectations and compensation are horrendous. Otherwise, its great.

    Advice to Management

    Compensate the people that are providing the research that funds the university!

    low pay; no room for promotion as most people get jobs and stay for 20+ years; can be cliquish among management; low numbers of staff compared to other institutions of same size
