I have been working at University of Dayton part-time

    Pros

Apart from working with a lot of wonderful people, you also get to experience and strengthen discipline and listening skills.

    Cons

I would say the only negative thing from this position is that you need to do things accordingly to how everything is prepared, but is that something bad? They are just trying to maintain a good reputation of organization

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be to encourage more students to work part-time and learn to manage work & studying.

I have been working at University of Dayton part-time

    Pros

The people you work with are great people who want to see you succeed, You get a chance to develop your leadership skills in a fun and interactive environment. Would highly recommend.

    Cons

The only con that I can think of is that you are a little babied at first, you feel that you could be working at a quicker pace, but until you prove that you are capable of that you are held back.

    Advice to Management

Allow people to have a little risk at the beginning, don't be afraid to have people fail, because some of the best lessons can be taught through failure.

I worked at University of Dayton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked at the UD as an assistant professor at Department of the Engineering Management, Systems, and Technology. The campus is a huge community where individuals are seen as family. People around you are friendly and try their best to help you be successful. There are many opportunities for faculty to get internal grants and work on their research. Diversity (including race, ethnicity, and gender) is celebrated. This was the best place I have worked so far.

    Cons

The Engineering building and office furniture are old and dated. They have a plan to renovate the building though.
The average faculty salary for assistant prof. is 8-10k below the national average.

    Advice to Management

Increase the Diversity on campus, which I know you guys have plans to do
Focus on Big Data - Analytics - IoT, etc.
Increase the reputation of the school by offering courses on the MOOC platforms
    Stay true to your mission
