    Pros

Good environment. The campus is so nice and not too big that makes people together. There are a lot of facilities. The tuition for graduate student is not so expensive.

    Cons

Some professors are not good. They don't develop themselves and don't know how to teach or maybe don't care. The library should be open 24 hrs.

    Advice to Management

    Improve career service.

I worked at University of Dayton part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You are allowed to do own work when you don't have clients. The tutoring space is spacious, so you don't feel cramped when working with students. Students are almost always friendly.

    Cons

The managers are graduate students and some can be overbearing. Depending on when you are scheduled, you can get stuck with some that are inflexible. Some managers are not understanding of you having to miss shifts if you get sick the last minute or in advance for an interview. It is hard to get people to fill-in your shifts if you need.

    Advice to Management

Be more understanding that people get sick at the last minute and it is not easy to fill shifts. Most tutors will not miss work for illegitimate reasons.

I have been working at University of Dayton full-time

    Pros

The University of Dayton has a great community atmosphere. They care about their employees and it shows in how everyone treats each other.

    Cons

They need to offer more opportunities for job change. Some people get stuck in one job for a long time when change would benefit both the employee and the University.

    Advice to Management

Allow more cross training opportunities and job rotation so employees learn new skills and don't stagnate. This would benefit both.

    Pros

Work with great people who mostly share the same mission of educating young people

    Cons

Very little room for growth and promotion. Extremely limited salary growth. Sam increase each year regardless of job performance, no financial incentive to improve yourself.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employee concerns. Make sure employees feel valued and heard, and that they are in positions of strength where they feel like they can positively contribute.

    Pros

Great way to get your education paid for and valuable experience in your chosen field. Good support from faculty.

    Cons

Hard to achieve a good work, school, life balance as there is very little down time. Not much diversity on campus.

    Advice to Management

Continue to offer great learning opportunities and experience. Work to integrate a more diverse population into the learning community.

I worked at University of Dayton full-time

    Pros

The Marianists are incredible. Their role at the university is being diminished, but getting to work with them is a true pleasure.

    Cons

Slow, plodding bureaucracy, poor upper management. They constantly trumpet their Marianist values, which are applied very unevenly.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who know how to organize, lead and manage, not people who are alumni, or who have an attractive degree.
