    Positive Outlook

I have been working at University of Haifa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A very flexible position in terms of duties, tasks, tempo and environment. Work in science without the pressure to publish (yet, it is highly welcome and even rewarded).

    Cons

Depends on the specific lab. Generally, too much administrative work and activities (meetings, instruction ect.)

    Advice to Management

Manage people, processes and resources - need to find a right balance between these three

    Positive Outlook

I worked at University of Haifa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Beautiful place on a top of the mountain. A lot of services and additional programs in the University. The "character" is flexible and tolerant, serious, but not snobbery as like as Technion. There are some new buildings, the new department, new vacancies.

    Cons

About 30 minutes to get train station and buses can be unpredictable, leaving before schedule. There are a lot of services in the University - it is true, but usually, nobody knows about them and you can miss good oportunity.

    Advice to Management

Please, take more care about doctorants and postdocs coming from other countries. They often complain: if they have no local friends they find problematic to leave campus for a weekend or to get help without the Hebrew language.

    Pros

Haifa university has a beautiful campus, good software tools, knowledgable staff, the professors are excellent mentors and provide guidance in order to grow and learn, the university provides timely and fair monetary compensation.

    Cons

Haifa is a city that is a little bit difficult to access, and work as a research assistant can be somewhat challenging. The staff portal is also outdated.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend updating the staff portal, particularly the mechanism that is used to enter hours into the system as it is outdated and sometimes crashes.
