    Positive Outlook

I have been working at University of Haifa (More than a year)

    Pros

Haifa university has a beautiful campus, good software tools, knowledgable staff, the professors are excellent mentors and provide guidance in order to grow and learn, the university provides timely and fair monetary compensation.

    Cons

Haifa is a city that is a little bit difficult to access, and work as a research assistant can be somewhat challenging. The staff portal is also outdated.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend updating the staff portal, particularly the mechanism that is used to enter hours into the system as it is outdated and sometimes crashes.

I have been working at University of Haifa full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people and work relations including opportunities for collaborations are a big plus for me and then there's the location of the university which is ideal - at the city's edge with surrounding forests of the Carmel biosphere reserve and a view of the mountain and sea on all sides. Also, the multicultural atmosphere is unique.

    Cons

Under funding of the Humanities is a general aspect of Academia but one where I feel this particular university could lead the way to more balanced investment across disciplines.

    Advice to Management

    Streamline internal bureaucratic processes
