I have been working at University of Kentucky part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Students are offered the Assistantship and may choose professors to work for. The Chair of the Department--Dr. Ron--is excellent!

    Cons

The offer is only for 9 months, so $11106 divided by 12 months let you make $925 on a weighted monthly scale. Very low, but at least it pays(!) tuition (not fees though)

    Advice to Management

Only to increase--if such opportunity arises--the assistantship's pay. It hasn't changed from 2013 to 2017, but housing on campus has increased by 13% during the same period ($82).

I have been working at University of Kentucky full-time

    Pros

Wonderful campus with several academic programs growing to top rankings in the United States. Also, it is very obvious that the administrative staff cares about the student body as a whole and aims for their ultimate success.

    Cons

I haven't known a day on campus without construction. The professors are split between research and teaching which can make finding professors focused on the student difficult, yet achievable.
