I have been working at University of Liverpool part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent job training, company leadership and well structured.

    Cons

May require relocation at your own cost.

    Advice to Management

Management should expand more into the international community and offer more full time job responsibilities.

I worked at University of Liverpool full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Regular pay on a nationally competitive basis, a city that has a good offer in cultural activities and sports. The University is in the city centre with easy public transport.

    Cons

University of Liverpool is a university which still today, after 15 years of continuous declared 'efforts' has not made progress in areas such as ethics, quality of research, staff and student recruitment.

    Advice to Management

Replace all senior management with truly qualified people who know the education industry from the inside. How are able to make a difference between mediocre and cheap investments and expensive but high quality investment which will pay in the long term.

I have been working at University of Liverpool part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Student body at Masters degree level within School of Business is made up of intellectual individuals with a strong desire to learn and succeed.

    Cons

Extremely low pay. 8 week courses (modules) for $1,900 less the fee for international monetary transfers ($15). Although courses contain no more than 15 students, faculty performance expectations are far too rigorous and unreasonably time consuming. For faculty holding a PhD to ear $15 per student per week, the UoL is asking far too much for far too little compensation.

    Advice to Management

Pay faculty more, set reasonable expectations for students, and set grading standards, and change the audit process to allow for academic freedom, or just hire robots.

University has good reputation, attracts very good students and the city is fantastic.

Parts of senior management are not very good, especially in HR.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the teaching and research staff.

I have been working at University of Liverpool full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to interact with visiting academics

    Cons

Poor local management - not interested in career prospects for post docs, exploitative and toxic environment. wasteful with research funding - tenure track researchers routinely guilty of research misconduct and gross misconduct ad embellishment of 'data'.

    Advice to Management

Important to eliminate endemic culture of 'jobs for the boys' and reintroduce merit based career opportunities - you are losing innovative and creative researchers in favour of derivative and reactive research and researchers

I worked at University of Liverpool full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was lucky enough to work in a department where people were genuinely invested in everyone's progress and well-being.

    Cons

The University of Liverpool has one of the worst administrations I've ever experienced in any university. The way they generally treat their employees, and the overall work-ethic and practice towards anything from finance to student services is appalling.

    Advice to Management

Strength of character and patience is needed to work at most departments at the University of Liverpool

I have been working at University of Liverpool (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A vibrant city, full of friendly citizens.
The university is a well-kept campus.
Particularly in life sciences they are beginning to improve their non-academic support.
    Transport is very good

    Cons

The research environment can be stressful and often the work-life balance is poor.
As said before this has begun to change.

I have been working at University of Liverpool (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ideal city for student life. Awesome night life even though often people are way too much drunk :), beautiful parks, multicultural university, many social activities, study quality

    Cons

Way too much drunk people, u need to have a great discipline to not distract yourself from studies due to the so much going on campus.

    Advice to Management

    No Brexit
    Reduce alcohol and rain
I can't think of sth negative major in the university.
