    I have had a great time working at UL. I get to meet students from across the country and world! You get instant feedback and satisfaction every day.

    Cons

    It can be challenging to get proper maintenance performed on all the different types of equipment. Also, it would be nice to update our equipment.

    Have to work for 20 hrs a week with not much work have to do test and assignment correction.

    -Flexible hours, you can work around other jobs and school.
    -Helps build CV experience. Possible conference posters or presentations.

    Cons

    -Human resources is slow with hiring process. You might not see a paycheck for weeks.
    -My PI was easily distracted and not very productive, so simple tasks took weeks.

    -Work experience really depends on the PI and their management skills, experience, productivity

    Great hours, can pick your own schedule that works with Graduate School classes, lot of great job experience, and tuition is paid.

    Cons

    Monthly stipend should be dependent on work you are doing. Some departments' GA's don't do as much work as others, but they still get the same amount in monthly stipend.

    Great students, faculty, and environment.

    Cons

    On boarding can be a bit of a hassle since it is such a large organization. Think about all the of tasks you had to handle and buildings you had to visit when you started college. It's similar to that experience...but worth it!

    Pros

    Academic assistants is excellent. Faculty are wonderful and very helpful. Graduate school Dean is excellent.

    Cons

    Little administrative support in classroom. Computers and Equipment are outdated. Paperwork is redundant and time consuming.
