I have been working at University of Louisville full-time

    Pros

Amazing benefits. A week of Christmas off is nice too.

    Cons

Health Science Campus employees are treated different than main campus. HSC is not compensated well at all. Under management treats staff poorly. Very cliquey. If you fit in with the clique you can get away with anything and get significant pay increases.

    Pros

Friendly and cooperative working environment, very good research and development facilities, a caring international center and well-developed library.

    Cons

Administration is old fashioned in many cases, quality of undergraduate education isn't up to the level, salary is lower than the national average.

    Advice to Management

Quality of both undergraduate and graduate studies should be improved, salaries must be increased and focus should be given in collaboration with other institutions.

I have been working at University of Louisville full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The university offers a fair compensation package that is in line with credentials and abilities. Path to advancement is clearly defined. Benefits are better than most I have heard of.

The environment tends to be rather politicized. This is understandable, given the educational environment.
