I have been working at University of Manchester for more than 3 years

    Pros

Well-paid, very easy work with guaranteed hours. Good introduction to teaching if thats what you want to go into after postgrad study.

    Cons

Poorly organised by the admin staff. Academics are very unreliable line managers and appalling at basic things such as providing class materials or signing off timesheets. Hours can get cancelled or hugely increased at the whim of a lazy academic.
