    Work environment was supportive, helpful, and equipping. Coworkers were loving, friendly, and team-oriented. Students were a joy to serve and work alongside. I felt my role was valued and helped to progress the university mission

    Sometimes, I felt extra expectations were unreasonable given my already full commitment level.

    Pros

    The students are motivated. They are not the cream of the crop. But many have drive. I enjoyed teaching there for many years.

    Cons

    Some faculty and a department chair or two most feel very vulnerable. They are apparently are

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of department chairs that are insecure in their rolls. If they do not want to update classes or participate in programs which can build the programs for the university they should be removed. Ask questions when they respond negatively to subordinates. It may not be an issue with the subordinate but rather with the department chair themselves.
