I worked at University of Maryland Medical Center full-time

    Pros

Great place to work and learn

    Cons

Work hard and they don't value exactly what a transporter does and that we're one of the engines that make the operation go,and the pay sucked

    Advice to Management

Shadow a patient transporter one day,not for a hour but for a 8 hour shift and you'll notice its more then a entry level job and how much they work for less then housekeeper's

    Pros

Benefits are okay, pay is standard academia pay (lower range), but it is very easy to transfer positions within the university system.

    Cons

The main con is the salary -- but that is to be expected when working at a university.

I have been working at University of Maryland Medical Center full-time

    Pros

Having a job, and getting benefits.

    Cons

I worked in the hunt valley office. There are no black management at all. They have cameras on you 24/7. They time your accounts to see if you are in between accounts more than 15 mins. You are not allowed to talk at all.

    Advice to Management

Hire or promote black people. Don't micro manage your employees. They are not slaves, they are people. Give your employees bonus once a year. Happy employees, good work is produced.
