    I have been working at University of Melbourne part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Excellent pay and valuable experience for working with large firms.
    Very professional in managing HR.
    Outstanding lecturers and professors for tertiary studies.
    Located very close to CBD.
    Campus facilities are excellent.

    Cons

    Sometimes too focused on theoretical components.
    Contract processing time takes very long.
    Limited space for self-study, especially during SWOTVAC periods.

    Advice to Management

    Keep investing in enlarging campus capacity for students to study.
    Improve the HR contract processing times.
    Add more practical components in the teaching curriculum.

    Pros

    Flexible schedule as a casual assistant. Suppotive colleague and staff on campus. High rate and user friendly staff system.

    Cons

    For casual staff not enough and structured training. Could be a personal experience only. I enjoyed working at my uni in summary.

    Pros

    Great for recalling knowledge
    Good in resume
    Easy way to meet other talented students, probably easier to form group in group assignments.
    Get training

    Cons

    Time consuming
    There is a chance for getting some tutorials with bad time slot.
    Need to be very careful with the words and acts, as this could affect the uni.

    Advice to Management

    This post is basically not related to management, as we don't manage people, we basically is the bottom most layer in the teaching team.

    Good, flexible work to support yourself during your studies.
    Learn more from subjects you help tutor than when you took them.
    Large amounts of autonomy

    Cons

    Limited opportunities for advancement if you don't plan on PhD
    Doesn't develop industry-related skills.

    Advice to Management

    Work out a way to incentivize experienced casual staff to stay.
