    Pros

The students are really smart, respectful, and engaged.

    Cons

The administration refuses to bargain for salary for anyone but tenure track faculty.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget at the core of education is the desire to help people. That starts with the way you treat your employees.

I worked at University of Miami (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Tuition remission, great insurance, great retirement benefits

    Cons

Low salary, well below market rates for similar roles...even in higher education. Restrictions in place to reduce internal mobility -- highly discouraging when you're under poor management.

    Advice to Management

Reallocate your budgets to retain valuable staff. Turnover is a real time suck, and unfortunate to lose so many good hearted and well intentioned people over a few thousand a year.
