    Pros

    Research at Minnesota is top notch, there are multiple resources and core facilities, and several seminar series that bring in leading scientists. The cost of living in MN is quite low in comparison to other cities and the postdoc salary goes a long way.

    Great. Enjoyable. HAd fun. Diversity. Justice. Equity. Big. In the city. Location location location! Collaboration. Advocacy. College of Liberal Art.

    The salary would be the biggest con for me given that I was quite versed in my role and what was being asked of me.

    The U has a great work life balance Benefits are great such as 6 wk parental leave, 75% tuition discount and 10% matching of retirement contribution

    Pay is not the best and salary increases are minuscule

    love the patients and working part-time get the whole summer off

    Allows a flexible schedule, fair with time off, good benefits, overall a friendly and welcoming department

    Cons

    not much room for advancement, low pay, will make you work the jobs of 2-3 people for the salary equivalent to 1. Athletics is extremely understaffed and underfunded.

    Pros

    Minnesota has a fantastic benefits program. In my department, we have an excellent, collegial environment that encourages people to do their best. As with any tenure profession, there is pre
