I worked at University of Missouri part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great environment to work. People that cared about how and what you were doing both professionally and academically. I had a chance to work with people that needed my help and I enjoyed what I did. I had some of the most rewarding days I have ever had in my working career.

    Cons

I am not sure that were many cons to share. Outside of the pay I cannot see a con of working for this institution. This is not a place that a person could support a growing family with one income and have a high level of education unless that person was in a high position within the structure of the University.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest making the pay structure more equal. It seems that SOME are paid way too much while others are paid way too little. This is the biggest problem that I can see that UMKC faces. I would also say that UMKC NEEDS TO ADRESS PARKING FOR BOTH EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS.

It's not a very big university and hence isn't very well known outside the State.

Market the university more. If more people outside Missouri hear about the university it'll greatly benefit the students as they will gain more exposure.
