I have been working at University of Missouri full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I really enjoy the people I work with. I feel like the management cares about me and my professional development.
    The health benefits are incredible.

    Cons

For some positions, the salaries are impressive. For staff, I believe the salaries could be better.
Recently, there have been several cuts made at the University. This is a con but was also unavoidable.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest that they unfreeze salaries. I have gone two years without an annual raise and, compared to similar positions in other institutions, my salary is very low.

I have been working at University of Missouri full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Beautiful campus, low cost of living, very livable city

    Cons

Incompetent or absent leadership from administration, bad regional and national reputation, budget cuts, hiring freezes, salary freezes

    Advice to Management

Faculty morale is extremely low, retention will be a major issue for a while. If Mizzou wants to recover, it needs to have faculty who feel supported who will in turn elevate the university. Make unfreezing faculty salaries a priority.
