    Advice to Management

The Admissions office is the key to UM's survival. When it is healthy, UM will grow as much as it needs to.

I worked at University of Montana (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Easy going work environment
    - Very flexible with student schedules
    - Nice to work with people my age
    - Flat org structure

    Cons

    - Boring job and daily activities
    - Definitely what one would consider to be a dead end job

    Advice to Management

Management should definitely look for ways to give students more exposure to management situations and opportunities. Even though the culture is flat, I still wish I had more chances to try out managing.

I worked at University of Montana part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As if the jaw-dropping natural beauty and amazing culture of Missoula aren't enough, working at UM provides continuous opportunities to explore creative and academic interests through teaching alongside a peerless group of colleagues.

    Cons

The English Department seemed to sometimes be treated like the redheaded stepchild when it came to funding. Give these geniuses some new furniture, already.

    Advice to Management

More structured meetings to encourage TA involvement with tenured faculty would be great.
