I have been working at University of Nebraska–Lincoln full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I enjoy working in the university environment. People are from multiple backgrounds, but work together for a common goal. The benefits are definitely a pro.

    Cons

The process to get some things completed take a lot longer than they would at a private company.

    Advice to Management

I do not have any advice for management. Every department is separate and has their own processes for things to work.

I have been working at University of Nebraska–Lincoln full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits. The vacation and sick leave policy is pretty generous. The health insurance is decent.

    Cons

You have to pay for a parking pass to park on campus. Essentially paying to come to work. The University gives out low raises that don't cover cost of living.
