I have been working at University of Nevada Las Vegas full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Being able to work along side great researchers has been very beneficial to my graduate studies. The class size are also small so you can build strong relationships with professors. Working with the department as a Teaching Assistant has been great! They are very understanding of our workload and work with us to figure out our schedules.

    Cons

UNLV is still a growing research institute, but it is headed to the right direction.

    Pros

Very Flexible with your schedule. This may include school or your other job, or even holidays.

    Cons

There is no set training program to the job. The job is on the spot training that you learn as you go. The first two months was a big learning curve.

    Advice to Management

Implement a Training program for new and current employees to make a more effective/organized team.

    Pros

Professors and associate professors are connected with students. Diverse and quirky staff and student body. There is rapid growth and consistent improvement in many areas from the curriculum to the physical campus.

    Cons

The state of Nevada has consistently ignored education in general but has been especially callus towards higher ed. Budget constraints are significant.
