I have been working at University of North Carolina full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

UNC (school of medicine specifically) is invested in helping you grow professionally--especially through time to devote to research endeavors. I should clarify that my role is largely within the outpatient clinic setting, though I am employed by the university. Competitive vacation and decent healthcare benefits.

    Cons

Pay is less competitive than comparable private institutions, however, the culture made up for this in my opinion.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at University of North Carolina full-time

    Pros

Great programs are available for a variety of fields, most of them in the top 20 in the nation. Free public transportation across the whole town, no pass or ID needed.

    Cons

Cost a lot of money for out of state tuition, parking is a pain. Town can be a bit boring unless you like to go to bars every time you go out, but great if thats what you like.

    Advice to Management

Build more parking lots, get traffic under control and pedestrians off the street. Campus is really nice just keep it maintained.

    Pros

Smart people and surprisingly flexible operations.

    Cons

There weren't really any "cons" to my experience.

    Advice to Management

The athletic scandal is a disgrace and an embarrassment to your employees. Do something about it.
