I have been working at University of North Texas part-time

    Pros

Flexible hours with classes and ability to worm according to your schedule

    Cons

Low pay $8/hr and low hours, no pay or hours during university break

    Advice to Management

Nothing. All in all it's a pretty good place to work for pocket money but not if you have bills.

I have been working at University of North Texas part-time

    Pros

Flexible hours and willingness to help students.

    Cons

The University is very political, and if you have lazy 9-5 workers you're stuck with them.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring from inside just because they are a friend, and are not qualified.

I have been working at University of North Texas full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working for the University is a stable job - if not too stable (see below). Wages are competitive for the area, which is fairly far outside of any metropolitan areas. Work environment is very positive. Entire team is great and supportive.

    Cons

Hardly any upward mobility because everyone stays in their positions until retirement. No bonuses. Raises are minimal and inconsistent. Lots of tech debt (if you are involved in a tech job).

I have been working at University of North Texas part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked at UNT as a student assistant and I loved it! I was able to work around my school schedule and not have to worry about being stressed out because of work. The university is great to work for as a student.

    Cons

I wish they would up the pay. I love my job but the salary is really low, considering I still do have some bills to pay. You also aren't able to work over 25 hours as a student. Which is a blessing and a curse.
