I worked at University of North Texas full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Wonderful colleagues and team environment in the UNT Libraries. Everyone is friendly, supportive, and eager to collaborate on new projects and research opportunities. Administrators are approachable and encouraging of new ideas. There are many opportunities for growth and professional development.

    Cons

There are limited job opportunities in Denton other than working in academia (UNT or TWU), unless one endures a long commute to other areas near Dallas or Fort Worth. This can be a challenge if moving to work at UNT with a spouse in another industry.

I have been working at University of North Texas part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved my time at the UNT University Union. Having a degree-relevant position while still in school has proved totally invaluable for me. Not only that but I have a near-impossibly wonderful relationship with every single one of my co-workers. Never have I worked in such a supportive, fun, and creative environment before. I will be so sad to leave the Union, but I will have to when I graduate, as it's a student position. This job made my life and my college experience infinitely better and if I didn't have to leave to graduate, I would stay forever.

    Cons

Absolutely none, as far as my department was concerned. I have heard of problems in other departments at the University, but overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience at the UNT University Union.

    Advice to Management

The management is wonderful. I could not have asked for better supervisors or bosses.
