    Cons

not a job for someone that doesn't like kids, its basically babysitting

I worked at University of Oklahoma HSC full-time

    Pros

I can say I worked for OU.

    Cons

Academic workplace environments tend to be rather slow going. Decisions take forever to be made. Promotion or growth within the organization only happens once someone retires. Many employees are "veterans" and aren't enthusiastic about their jobs. Change is not easily accepted, if at all. Those who go above and beyond aren't recognized. Everything is political.

I have been working at University of Oklahoma HSC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They will pay for your child's undergraduate degree. You have to pay for your supplies though. Lots of PTO and paid holidays.

    Cons

You are a state employee, so the raises are non existent. Boss completely ignores the question when asked for a raise. Oh and make sure you pay your state tax on time because if you don't they can put a lien on your home because you are a state employee.

    Advice to Management

You say you want to retain your staff, but you won't help them get raises even though they work hard.

I worked at University of Oklahoma HSC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits, easy schedule, PTO.

    Cons

    1. No room for growth
    2. Low wages
    3. Cattiness
    4. Favortism

    Advice to Management

    1. Please value your employees. Employees change jobs because of the manager, not the job.
    2. Stop playing favorites!
    3. Patient satisfaction will NEVER be at 100% - if you take care of your employees, they will have a better attitude thus making the scores go up.
    4. Get rid of EMR - no one likes it. Advance to EPIC. Get with the times!
    5. Do not have a clinic in Williams Pavillion - patients do not know how to find the clinic thus creating bad reviews.
    6. If an employee wants more training in order to advance, LET THEM! Don't just ignore them.
    7. Respond to your email in a timely manner.
    8. Be available to your employees when needed.
    9. Rounding should be completed every month, not just whenever someone has time.
    10. Do not promote an employee to a team lead position without any training.

I worked at University of Oklahoma HSC full-time

    Pros

    The employees are nice 10/10.

    Cons

She speaks poorly of ALL former employees and contractual partners, unreasonable time and general requests, does not care about employee safety, and becomes irrational and moody for no apparent reason. In general, her lab is tense and her employees avoid her.
