    I have been working at University of Ottawa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    You can study while proctoring during slow hours! Friendly team alleviate stress of being unsure of protocols. Team environment ensures successful outcome!

    Cons

    Need to multi-task when students are finished writing their exams or need to be seated to start. Must be okay with working early mornings or later evenings in bulk shifts.

    Advice to Management

    Excellent work, keep up the great open communication and flow of proctoring process, especially during finals -fantastic!

    Well-paid job- reasonable hours- the work quality depends on the supervisor you work with.

    Cons

    Depending on the supervisor, there are sometimes higher expectations than what is stated in the contract, which leads to additional working hours.

    Since there're many independent research activities take place at the University of Ottawa, I don't think that I can point out any specific advice.
