    Pros

UoP is under new management and they are slowly making changes that for the most part seem to be for the better.

    Cons

Management still contradicts itself far too much. Something that is super important today is not important tomorrow. Very reactive versus proactive.

I worked at University of Phoenix full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

This company has the means to provide great benefits and the added bonus of free education! They pay well and offer competitive incentives! It is fulfilling to assist students in obtaining their education and assisting them through the financial aspect of that.

    Cons

Being a finance advisor can be challenging due to the fact that finances is a sensitive subject. Students who do not manage their funds efficiently tend to blame the finance advisor for their lack of planning. The position requires redundant conversations. The information surrounding the federal guidelines and things of that nature can be overwhelming.

great starting pay! and extra pay for hours past 6pm. great knowledgebase. some great managers.

    Cons

some not-so-hot mangers, and, they switch you to a different manager every 6 mos, as well as shift bid.

    Advice to Management

managers should perform more similarly, and not be able to free range and be so overbearing.

    Pros

This position was remote work from home and was allowed to have a somewhat flexible schedule. This was helpful in tending to doctors appointments.

    Pros

rigors educational standards. student success focused. flexible schedule

    Cons

does not consult or communicate well with adjunct faculty. some students are not well prepared and lack basic skills. teaching too few classes and it is difficult to qualify for more courses.

    Advice to Management

give the students more upfront preparatory classes. it seems when enrollment goes down, student needs go up.
