I worked at University of Sheffield full-time

    Pros

Great university, good opportunities to teach while doing research.

There is plenty of funding for PhD students.

I recommend to anyone wanting to do top research in UK.

    Cons

Like most universities currently in the UK, there is a big pressure to publish quantity rather than quality due to the staff needing a lot of papers to get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your staff maintains the standards of the University.
