    Former Employee - Resident Assistant

I worked at University of Tampa part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great opportunity to make friends, guide other students, and save money on housing!

    Cons

Can be stressful depending on which students you end up with. Not much choice in which building you work/live in (I was stuck in the same freshman dorm all of my years).

    Advice to Management

Higher compensation for RAs that work in less-coveted dorm halls.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at University of Tampa full-time for more than a year

    Pros

UT provides good hours and budget for programming; supervisors are understanding and adaptable.

    Cons

There are some bureaucratic and hiring issues with Residence Life prioritizing new Resident Assistants over the old more experienced.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of current Resident Assistants instead of looking to constantly hire new people; it creates a bad workplace environment when job security is minimal.
