    Pros

TAing is easy work. Most weeks, you do not work the full 10 hours, but come exam time, expect to take 20 or more hours a week to grade exams and assignments

    Cons

A TA position is pretty much a scholarship in disguise. The pay is fair, but considering that graduate students do not get a tuition stipend, a lot of the money goes towards tuition, leaving little for rent and food.

    Advice to Management

A higher pay. No graduate student should have to work two jobs in order to make ends meet while going to school, but I had to.

I worked at University of Waterloo full-time

    Pros

Nice city, nice university. Professors and graduates here are all very kind and warm-hearted.

    Cons

Waterloo is very small, so if anyone wants to live in a big city, do not come here, it is just too small.

    Advice to Management

This is a place to study and to find the things you really want. I found my whole life goal here.

I have been working at University of Waterloo full-time

    Pros

culture awesome and people are super nice and respectful. fun team outings, and you dont have to work long hours. great paid holidays and vacations

    Cons

not very innovative and micro-managing style. people do the same routine over and over again and dont come up with new fun ideas to create marketing buzz around the school.

    Advice to Management

dont settle.. people are too comfortable in their jobs. make it more competitive in the work place and be innovative like the school says it is. don't only hire recent waterloo grads
