Great campus located in an isthmus, very close to downtown. Many activities on and off campus. Great people and many learning opportunities.

Graduate students might struggle to find assistantship positions (research or teaching) in some departments. Also, tuition has been increasing in the past few years.

I have been working at University of Wisconsin-Madison full-time

    Pros

I am pretty much allowed to set me own work hours. No one minds if you show up late or leave early as long as your tasks are done.

    Cons

Doesn't seem to be much of an opportunity for advancement or pay raises. Probably just going to end up a stepping stone
