      Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Unyson full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Fast paced, learned a lot fast, enjoy the people I work closely with everyday.

      Cons

Turned very political, promotions given to how good of friends you are with your director. When no bonus was given in 2017, they made up positions to give upper management promotions. Be friends with the 3 amigos or don’t count on a promotion.

      Advice to Management

Have VPs more involved with their accounts instead of margin hunting on vacation, or walking around checking to see if people are on their cell phones.

      Pros

Decent vacation time and you can find some good co-workers among the rest of the garbage.

      Cons

I was always someone who thought Unyson was great and believed in our message until we started doing terrible deals, letting people go and promoting people with no talent or respect for their employees. I used to think upper management was smart, until I worked somewhere where people actually WERE intelligent. There's no creative thinking at Unyson. Unfortunately, the " do anything to get them in the door and then we'll...

      Negative Outlook

I worked at Unyson full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Great Experience! Plenty of opportunities to wear many hats and learn about different modes of transportation, problem solving, and business in general. Great start for recent college graduates looking to build their level of experience.

      Cons

The culture in recent years has become difficult to digest. The atmosphere had become political and unfortunately often times unethical.

      Advice to Management

Gain the trust of your people in order to overcome any internal challenges that may be affecting the business. At the same time, hold people accountable (including Senior Management). Encourage Senior Management to further their education as I believed many of them did not have a BA or BS yet alone Post-Graduate degree. If I am incorrect then please disregard.

      No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Unyson full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Some truly genuine people, you have to dig through some weeds to find them.

      Cons

Upper management and their relatives treat co-workers like peasants. They have an entitled attitude, and it negatively affects all three floors. Other have a right to work attitude, and need to be walked right out the front door.

      Advice to Management

Concentrate on getting back the morale before another 50 people leave the company, we're losing too much talent, and are replacing them with the absolute wrong promotions, and the wrong seat fillers.

I worked at Unyson full-time for more than 5 years

        Pros

        - Nice working environment/office; new(ish) 4th floor - Generally good coworkers. - Fast-paced - Good entry level position to gain logistics and transportation experience

        Cons

Similar to many of the other posts: - Long, stressful hours. Management's expectation is for employees to work 10+ hours days consistently to even be considered for a promotion - Constant fire drills. Move people from one team to another to help resolve a "crisis", only to leave the other team short-staffed and likely have another issue arise; rinse and repeat. - Corporate politics - High turnover. Lots of talent...

        Advice to Management

Used to be a great place to work, but has since become just another corporate company with all the politics that come with it. Most people don't mind putting in the extra time and dealing with the extra stress if they know there is a light at the end of the tunnel and they will be fairly compensated and taken care of, but that is rarely the case here (i.e. lack of 2017 bonuses/holiday party/etc.)

Money Executive decision making Not sure of the future

        Advice to Management

Didn't get bonuses because of mistakes made by the executives of this company.. Trump cut corporate taxes in a unprecedented manner and not one dime has went in reinvestment to their current employees. You have people with nearly 10 years of industry experience making less than 40k with taxes.

        Pros

New customers being added office events are starting to be a thing again the people here are a fun bunch and it's easy to make friends that you will probably hang out with outside of work

        Cons

growing pains with reduced staff leaves lots of stress on employees upper management wants to help and is interested, but never seems to have time low employee morale is taking time to get pumped back up

        Advice to Management

Hire more people and make sure every account has enough man power so that people don't feel like they are doing the job of 10. Upper management needs to engage more with the daily operations and show everyone that they do have time and care about everyone's work life balance.
