I worked at Upper Chesapeake Health (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good location in Harford County

    Cons

Upper management and Human Resources are nonresponsive to concerns of employees regarding consistent abusive practices and treatment of employees by managers and directors. There are no consequences for department leaders who fail to meet objectives year after year.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention and respond appropriately. There are plenty of capable people willing to do a good job; there is no reason to keep ineffective employees. And when good employees choose to leave, you should probably ask why and make attempts to keep them, if possible.

    Pros

People care about each other. Friendly atmosphere. Desire to be the best. Well managed from a business perspective. Opportunities to grow. Good future potential in light of the coming merger with University of Maryland Medical System.

    Cons

Too lenient at times with poor behaviors. Too focused on growing from within. Need to bring in more outside people to bring in new ideas.
