I have been working at Upper Lake Processing Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Upper lake really does care about their people. I have seen managers fight to keep employees who are an asset to the company, and they pay them well for it. I have never seen a base pay so high in a call center environment. They also do tons of incentives and giveaways for reps, and free lunch once a month for the whole company. The job as a whole is very simple, and the main reason people seem to get let go is due to attendance, so if you don't have issues with that, then you will be golden. I know most of the managers on the floor were originally reps, so there is a lot of opportunity to advance here too.

    Cons

The company is broken into 3 suites, so there is a separation in culture based on which department you are in. Also, the company doesn't currently have a way to apply online, so you have to fill out paperwork when you come in for an interview, which takes a good amount of time, but it's worth it if you truly wanna work here.

    Advice to Management

Find a new facility that better supports the growth that you are having and integrates all the departments together. Also, get an online system to let candidates apply and do paperwork.

    Pros

The majority of the managers really care about their employees and will fight for their teams when it comes to compensation, incentives, and inconsistencies. The pay is great. The attendance program is very lenient.

    Cons

The rules aren't always consistent, the correct answers depend on who you ask. You are discouraged from leaving your desk (they monitor how long you take in the restroom because you're "hurting the team's productivity" taking unscheduled time away from work.

    Advice to Management

    Be honest with your employees
    Admit when you're wrong
Put yourselves in your employees shoes

    Pros

In operations the previous management was engaging with employees no matter their position. Was compassionate in making sure it was known that he cared about his employees.

    Cons

Currently the in charge manager makes sure we know we are expendable and sets unrealistic expectations so that goals cannot be achieved. Looks down his nose of you try to speak to him if you're not in upper management

    Advice to Management

Remember that your employees are people too and treat them as you expect them to treat the customers.

I worked at Upper Lake Processing Services full-time

    Pros

Lots of earning potential here, the bonuses are great and the incentives offered are pretty enticing. They also cater lunch once a month.

    Cons

Things are constantly changing which makes it hard for management and agents to stay on top of things.

    Advice to Management

Instead of chastising everyone for one person's mistake, how about just holding the responsible parties accountable to their own actions.

I worked at Upper Lake Processing Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Upperlake makes a considerable amount of revenue and they are not afraid to share the wealth. The position they have offer a very competitive salary, good benefits (after 60 days), and overall good people working for them

    Cons

The call center leaderships is over worked and under qualified to fulfill their roles and responsibilities. There is no time nor room for development either personal or professional. The focus is all on numbers and not about the people. There is a very dismal outlook on business from leadership and it trickles down to the line level employees.

    Advice to Management

Hire some new people with fresh perspective. Give your middle management time to develop their people. Invest in some newer technologies.
