    Pros

Pay and benefits were good and has some really awesome co workers.

    Cons

Constant fear of being laid off. No recognition for good workers. No discipline for slackers. In fact the more you slack the more they like you. I believe the reason they lose so much business is due to slackers and people not caring if the work is done right.

    Advice to Management

Keep your good employees and let the o we who don't care go. You might be able to retain so.e business that way

I worked at Urban Lending Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Overtime if you want it for the production staff. Stepping stone to get into various Banking/Real Estate employment opportunities.

    Cons

Lots of overtime even when you don't want it. Working holidays. Lower pay for the industry. Benefits package is not competitive and very expensive. Employee review system is highly inaccurate for job performance, I.e. , even Glassdoor using a 5 point system.

    Advice to Management

Invest in proper training for employees and set realistic expectations. Make improvements to the quality of life and , work/life balance of your employees. I saw far to many great employees leave to other opportunities due to feeling like a number. Stand by the company motto; be honest with your employees.

I worked at Urban Lending Solutions full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Supportive co-workers who shared a collective experience and a liberal time-off allotment.

    Cons

High turnover in management and staff led to unrest and lack of direction within the company. No raises or bonuses in what will be four years for anyone other than a select few that was kept very hush hush.

Management also performed poorly when communicating team and personal goals and would often gaslight the staff into thinking they had great, valid ideas, but would never carry through with those great ideas. All management could use training in how to manage and properly motivate a team, especially. Even managers who had been managing teams a long time could use some sensitivity or harassment training as their lack of communication led the staff to believe they were hiding things. Managers like to try to one-up each other with whomever had the higher ranking c-level executive in their back pocket as a method of overriding each other's authority. It was exhausting to deal with.

As for staff, please recognize where you have talent and properly train or enable them to be even better. The shining stars in the company tend to be overworked, rather than appreciated properly

I worked at Urban Lending Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company was close to home and after just one year of employment, I was able to obtain a desirable working schedule that was conducive to providing a work/life balance. Depending on the department one works in, micromanagement is minimal. This included team leads and supervisors, which often results in unqualified leadership.

    Cons

Morale is lacking due to constant fear of layoffs, which occur approximately every 6-8 months on average. Upper management is evasive and non-transparent resulting in a mistrust and paranoia amongst it staff. In my last year of employment (prior to being laid off), it got to the point where executives/management wouldn't even bother addressing staff of reductions in force or assuaging our concerns. A couple dozen/hundred employees would be affected by a lay off and it was "business as usual". With a casual email or brief commentary made by someone in charge that existing employees had nothing to worry about and that the company was making every effort not to add business that was just going to be temporary. This proved to be untrue most, if not all of the time.

    Advice to Management

Be forthcoming with your staff. They deserve that much at the very least. Train your supervisors in leadership skills and cultural and sensitivity awareness as it is highly lacking.
