RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Ustream full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
- I joined Ustream after the uni, I became a real devops guy here - engineers has full ownership above their areas - it is part of the culture to continuously improve, we are allowed and encouraged to experiment with new technologies - flexible working hours, no track of vacation: "manage your energy not your time"
Cons
- the onboarding needs a lot of proactivity, you had to get used to the fast pace startup culture - not all the information is easy to find - i left only because i was able to join to a startup as a founder

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Ustream full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Strong team of talented, open-minded engineers in a continuously improved friendly environment (flexible work hours, bike shed, breakfast, library, games). There are exciting and challenging projects and lot of opportunities to learn. The office is cool and comfortable, the perks are super :)
Cons
No major cons. It would be great to get even more talented people, we have way more ideas than resources, so keeping up a healthy work-life balance can be a challenge.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Ustream full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
- Talented development teams - Exciting projects and technologies - Strong devops culture - Self-development opportunities (conferences, training, meetups) - Flexible working hours, unlimited holidays and you can work from home - Lots of freedom to control how to do your job - Modern office in the heart of the Budapest - Friendly atmosphere
Cons
- Some systems are really complex and need regular duty work - this can be frustrating for some people - Lots of repetitive tasks on legacy codes, there is little time to properly redesign some system components - Some teams are overloaded and don't have enough time for innovative projects or even necessary refactors - Need better development methodologies, some teams still use ad-hoc kanban-style management and not properly specified tasks (which leads later to conflicts) - Sometimes you have to work on lot of different projects which weakens ownership - The office contains a huge open space where a lots of people work and there's too much distraction - The salary is not the highest on the market, but it's not bad either.

Cons
You have to be very flexible, offices operates in different time zones which can be tricky when you want to contact to Tokyo or San Francisco.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Ustream full-time for more than a year
Pros
Pretty offices Flexible work hours Talented development team Good set of technologies
Cons
Payment is not that great compared to other startups in the area Meetings galore, process killing the progress Emerging hype factor (not as bad as Prezi though) If you're part of the inner circle then everything's nice and shiny, reality warping Scarily good reviews by current employees here on Glassdoor
