I have been working at UtopiaCompression Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Interesting projects and lot of learning. There are highly intellectual people around from whom you can learn a lot. It has small cosy environment like that of a startup. Colleagues are friendly.

    Cons

Interns salary is little low. There are no additional perks offered. Some projects and deadlines can be little ambitious but they adjust well to your suggestions.

I have been working at UtopiaCompression Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have a good team with strong education background and personal skills .

They have interesting projects which translate the university research into prototype

    Cons

    They did not pay well.

They did not get all what you have since there is no real work pressure.

Micro-management exist. Honestly, I did not face the Micro-management.

I worked at UtopiaCompression Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lovely familial atmosphere, wonderful people, strong and kind management, and dedicated staff. This company has meaningful projects that allow professional autonomy and provide valuable research opportunities. Amazing projects that are truly meaningful. I believe the best is yet to come for this company.

    Cons

Challenging projects--not the place for you if you are not dedicated to research or technology, or are not a self-starter.

I have been working at UtopiaCompression Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Really interesting research opportunities; a lot of professional autonomy; nice people; decent benefits; great holiday schedule and PTO; good location.

    Cons

You have to be responsible for your own work; because some of the projects are highly complex, there is always a risk of technical failure which can be frustrating at times.

    Advice to Management

Increase the team structures to provide a little more mentoring for junior members.

I worked at UtopiaCompression Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The working hours are flexible. You can start to work any time and 8 hours is just okay. The collaborators are really nice. They gave me a lot of good suggestions. The company also provides a number of amazing research projects, especially related to computer vision, medical imaging and networking. Even though it is a small company, it is research oriented and almost half of the ppl there are phd's. Therefore, it may be a good choice for phd students to enhance their research experience in industry.

    Cons

Internship payment is not competitive : (

    Advice to Management

Offer opportunities for interns to attend the company meeting and thus get familiar with more ppl besides their supervisors.
