    Pros

V-Soft has a friendly atmosphere and their employees are nice to work with. The company goes to great lengths to do team building exercises, which helps ensure a good work atmosphere.
The company is expanding and has seen revenue grow consistently while I've been employed here.
Telecommuting is acceptable for certain departments when requested in advance.
CEO Purna Veer is genuinely concerned for the well being of his employees.
    Training is widely available.

    Cons

Few formal processes and defined job roles. Usually some confusion over authority on a given issue. Because V-Soft is rapidly expanding there is a disconnect between an idealized company hierarchy and the hierarchy in practice. The reliance on offshore labor also creates a gap between the business structure and the actual business processes. Due to the lack of formalized job titles and responsibilities, there are often inter-departmental conflicts and stonewalling.
Benefits are on the sparse side, but are improving.
Telecommuting for certain jobs is virtually not allowed.
Planning for IT infrastructure is almost non-existent, with each department making demands and every project being weighted the same priority.

    Advice to Management

Address the difficulties in transitioning from a smaller business to a larger one. Define the jobs that are required and then retitle existing employees following these guidelines. A more formal business structure would help drive good business processes and increase employee autonomy, task significance and task identity.
A concrete and well communicated business plan for incorporating new departments and locations would also help, especially when planning for new expansions.
A holistic approach to the use and acceptance of technology and company-wide planning for IT systems needs to happen in a less haphazard manner. Departments should work together more when addressing a shortcoming in the company IT plan, to minimize the demands placed on the in-house development team and reduce costs by streamlining the number of third party applications that are in use.
A study of the company using the Theory of Constraints would be interesting.

I have been working at V-Soft Consulting Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

V-Soft has been a great place to work so far. I was welcomed with open arms and quickly settled into working here. I like it here a lot, and plan to continue for as long as my career path and my job at V-Soft line-up. Management is helpful and friendly and coworkers are as well. V-Soft is a pretty big company, but it doesn't feel that way at all when working there; you are valued as an employee and family member, which is very nice.

    Cons

No downsides in my position so far!

    Pros

Could be a great place for a new college grad to work, ultimately to learn what you do NOT want from an employer.

    Cons

The company's structure was very unorganized, antiquated methods of recruitment and marketing, extremely conservative atmosphere for a company in the tech industry.

They are good on Finding the Project. They have some good clients to work with.

    Cons

The drawbacks of working in a tech startup, and any small companies, are generally related to short term risks. Sometimes you have to wait for new project for months

I have been working at V-Soft Consulting Group full-time

    Pros

It's honestly very difficult to think of any reasons why someone should work here. We have won some awards somehow and are very good at inflating statistics to make it seem like we're a legitimate company.

    Cons

It all starts at the top here. Owner ship is greedy and clueless. The only thing of importance to them is increasing profit and they do not care about employee well being, fairness, or bringing any sort of ethics to their business. If you work here, be prepared to be surrounded by amateurs who do not care; you will have to do other peoples' jobs quite frequently. Feedback is neither encouraged or paid any attention, and as a result people get burnt out quickly at V-Soft. Anyone who stays beyond a year is most likely looking for a new job. V-Soft will twist numbers to portray themselves as a growing and thriving company, but on the inside the employees are unhappy and the CEO only cares about personal gain. There is no company culture to speak of- the only culture is one of fear and looking over your shoulder, as management is always trying to catch people not doing work. This is a bad, bad company.

    Advice to Management

Learn something from your competitors. Value your employees and treat them as more than just a way for you to make another million.

    Pros

It's a job, and they pay you.

    Cons

The structure of the company is set up to reward placing employees, and there are no incentives to be ethical.

    Advice to Management

    Adopt a code of ethics
