    Pros

I joined here as an Executive Trainee, it is a good company for freshers as there is wide exposure and good training available. Only thing is try to work at the head office which is Chennai, regional offices are not so good. you can make more money if you grab on to traveling opportunities.

    Cons

They make you slog like hell and money offered is never satisfactory for the efforts you take. Even Saturdays and Sundays will go working.

    Advice to Management

Please care for employees work life balance, if you can't pay them

Few employees are burdened with more work wherein few enjoy not even engaged for 8 hours...Distribution of work load should be proper.

I have been working at VA Tech Wabag full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The water looks quite promising considering the population of our country and the growing water demands. New technology being introduced all the time.

    Cons

New employees are almost always given menial jobs. The senior managers and engineers will show blind loyalty towards the company, not questioning any outdated practices or taking risks. The division of labour is not even. Some people will roam around scott free while others will be toiling away their lives. But at the end the appraisal is the same for the guy who works 14 hours a day and the guy who leaves at 6 sharp. There is no incentive to work hard. Attrition is at it's worst possible. Every year 250 new employees are inducted(in chennai alone), while the strength of the entire organisation is just 2500(including philipines, turkey, czech, brazil, switzerland, romania, tunisia, india, ecuador). People just don't want to stay.

    Advice to Management

Hard work has to be rewarded. A more egalitarian approach to managing the employees. The employees must want to work out of their own will rather than achieving KPA. If people are satisfied(mental) KPA will automatically be achieved.

    1. Stable job
    2. Indian MNC
    3. Big Head Office

    Cons

    1. Low salary and growth
    2. Middle management is not so good. Hence the culture of the top management does not reach the grass root level
    3. Highly bureaucratic. Less room for experiment and innovation.

    Advice to Management

When the company is growing, it is important to cautiously select the people. People make or break the culture of the company.
