    Pros

You can bring your dog to work

    Cons

Management is old school. The company is run like a small mom and pop shop. Favoritism is seen on all levels. Worst benefit packages I have EVER seen. Worse than Obama Care

    Advice to Management

Get managers who have gone to business school and have taken classes on how to manage their employees. Learn to TRUST your employees!! You hired them!!

I worked at VCA as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

You have all the free popcorn you can eat, and all of the free coffee you can drink. No holiday parties, except for Halloween!! '?' About noon, they'll pretty much shut down the Corporate office and have a free BBQ dinner. (Those in costume eats first!)

    Cons

A "job", not a "career". Somewhere you can get stuck and go nowhere. Somewhere you come and work, go home, and repeat. Pay is low, and the benefits just "so-so".

    Advice to Management

Stop with all the so-called perks, and give a real holiday party in December. And take all those billions of dollars (that you spoke about in the meeting regarding the health of the company) and instead of acquiring more hospitals, but to add more workers to service all of the new buildings, other than working the ones you have like dogs! Do the math, more hospitals = more workers!
