I have been working at VF full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Work individually, most direct middle managers truly care about their work and their employees, good benefits

    Cons

Planning systems are old, management teams do not tend to work together for process improvements, senior management is self serving and snobby.

    Advice to Management

Allow middle managers freedom to make improvements. Spread work more evenly among safe. Put people in management positions that actually care about the work they are doing and not just manipulating numbers on a reports to reflect the desired outcome.

I worked at VF full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Very good benefits. Company works to improve worker satisfaction. Good pay levels.

    Cons

Constant realignment within the organization over the past 5 years led to tremendously increased work load. Went from a 40-45 hour work week to 60+. Department your in determines whether you have promotion opportunities. My department brought in outside talent about 90 percent of the time. With the"fresh" blood, traditional Wrangler culture and work -life balance have changed -- and not for the better.

    Advice to Management

Develop your current employees and give them the opportunity to advance. Review jobs and get them back to a 40-45 hour week.
