        Pros

Great students & parents, lots of opportunities to create fun props for new lessons, amazing curriculum to help you teach English through immersion. The most fun job I've ever had while teaching. Great side income but really difficult to make it a full-time gig unless you can work all night long (big time difference between America and China) and all week long.

        Cons

Inconsistent bookings and you only get paid for your taught classes, so during holidays the schedule usually lightens, and so does your paycheck. You also get penalized monetarily if you miss a class- regardless of the reason. Storm knocks out your power, the internet goes down, or too much lag in the classroom- you won't get paid and you will be docked pay for the missed classes.

      Project Manager

I interviewed with a company (2 interviews of 1h each) more than 15 days ago. In the company's portal my application shows as "in progress" and I haven't heard back from anyone (HR or interviewers). Is this normal?

      Manager

When sending a post interview follow up email to a hiring manager, is it appropriate to address the manager by first name, or is it more appropriate to use Mr. or Ms. X (assuming they have not invited you to address them informally and that their gender identity is clear)
