I worked at VNA California full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Used to have a good reputation

    Cons

Poor management, greedy owners. It was bought out to be scuttled and reabsorbed into another outfit (medicare-VA-MediCal-kaiser contracts). The company is being fleeced and the patients and employees are paying for it.

I worked at VNA California full-time

    Pros

Unfortunately the pros became less and less as new leadership took advantage of employees.

    Cons

Poor leadership, misguided goals, no accountability for managers and frozen salaries. All made for poor morale.

I worked at VNA California full-time

    Pros

The pros were: the ability to have a fairly flexible schedule; a fair amount of autonomy; a variety of diagnoses; interesting patients; a fair wage.

    Cons

The cons were: cumbersome, redundant computer program for documentation; main office out of touch with satellite offices; mileage reimbursement system not accurate in rural areas; payroll issues.

I have been working at VNA California full-time

    Pros

Great Coworkers with a genuine desire to serve the community

    Cons

Leadership issues have contributed to a loss of direction for the agency. Outside Management has been brought in and is creating a hostile work environment for many employees. Staff is afraid to say anything out of fear of retribution and possibility of being fired. Many of the Management Staff have been let go or have quit due to the negative work environment. Current management has destroyed long standing relationships with vendors, damaging the company's and staff's reputation.

I worked at VNA California full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Committed clinicians who truly want to care for patients and serve their community. Pay was high, but it's because they are trying to buy your soul

    Cons

Years of poor management have lead to a culture of blame, poor clinical standards, unstable financial footing and unfocused strategy. A weak board with little understanding of the industry has allowed constant management turnover and manipulation. The latest "partnership" has moved the focus from patient care to purely profit. Unfortunately that profit is obtained on the backs of the clinical staff that provides all the actual care. No vision, no focus on quality, multiple lies and manipulation. Beware!
