I have been working at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time

    Pros

Lots of autonomy to manage territory as I see fit, without micromanagement. Also plenty of back office support--IT, finance, HR and billing departments. All the necessary tools to do the job are provided, whether tangible or intangible resources. This is a dynamic work environment, continually changing. One of the benefits of working for a small, privately held organization is the ability to take action on innovative...

I worked at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

No call, no weekends, good pay, intellectually challenging. If you like wound care (and that's a big if), this is a great job, with predictable hours and very good pay.

    Cons

You have to be willing to work in multiple facilities, you have to be willing to work in nursing homes, you have to be OK with wound care, and corporate is far away (I was fine with these things, but for some they are negatives.)

    Advice to Management

An MD friend of mine was recently between jobs and tired of the rat race of every fourth night call, every other weekend on call, declining revenue, increasing demands, etc., or as I like to call it, the usual MD job in our current crazy health care system. I told him to check out Vohra Wound Physicians, since I thought it might be a good fit for him. I worked for them for about 4 years. I had a good experience, and left...

I worked at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Company headquarters are in southern Florida where the weather is nice and sunny most of the time. The office park is professional and updated. Benefits are mediocre

    Cons

Dishonest and sleazy owners and management. Nothing truthful comes from their mouths. Corporate management has sordid past lives…., just Google their names and see for yourself. Scary to think that a physician-led company has employees who are physicians but cannot practice because their license was revoked.

    Advice to Management

Honest, hard working people work for you, but your ethics and moral compass are tied to greed, money and lies, which instills fear and paranoia in all the employees.

We find that your review is not only malicious but also falsified; it is unfortunate that you are using this site as a resource to slander the company and employees. There are over 180 physicians working for our practice, many of whom have been with us since the start-up days – our ...

I worked at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time

    Pros

Great autonomy and hours. The pay is what you make of it. However, can be difficult to ramp up practice given other veteran Vohra Physicians in the area. They already have the better facilities covered. Thus the newbie gets to drive farther distances for smaller facilities and spends more time making less money.

    Cons

Very greedy company. They are not interested in keeping the physician happy or compromise. Rather they are only interested in bringing in profit. This may work for veteran employes but newbies often get a rough treatment. Experience very dependent on practice manager. I would not recommend this job unless it is your last option as a physician. They are incredibly two faced. Friendly and an apparent willing to discuss...

I worked at VOHRA Wound Physicians for less than a year

    Pros

low stress, some flexibility (but not as much as they claim), no call/weekends

    Cons

Income much less than predicted. Many out of pocket expenses (all your own supplies!). Lots of driving. The EMR (their pride and joy) is clearly a home-brew project. It's not well designed and takes forever. And it's full of typos!! They completely disregarded my requests for practice area and have my driving much further than I agreed to when I signed my contract. No paid vacation. The health insurance offered is...

I have been working at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for more than a year

    Pros

No call, no nights no weekends. Important service to underserved population. Pretty good internal EMR. Company run 100% by physicians. Corporate office generally helpful and pleasant to deal with.

    Cons

100% fee for service. No physician control over patient volume. Lonely practice environment where it is challenging to get good input on difficult cases. Most important: Reimbursement projections given during recruitment process are extremely overly optimistic. Little to no opportunity for advancement within company.

    Advice to Management

More realistic income projections during recruitment would have been nice.

Thank you for your review. While some physicians do ramp up their practices slower than others, most ramp up faster than we advise. Fee for service allows the physician to design their own schedule and work load.

I have been working at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Complete autonomy, flexible schedule, no on-call, no nights, no weekends. I essentially run my own practice in conjunction with my practice manager. I worked at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for less than a year

    Pros

If you like working 70 hours a week this may be a pro

    Cons

They work very hard to keep you from making a bonus. Your income is based on corporate whims. Sleepless nights are part of the package, and don't expect anyone will have your back.

    Advice to Management

Be upfront about the job so a potential employee can make a sound decision. Don't change the rules mid stream and if you want to keep talent, treat them with a little respect.
