I have been working at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Company is well established but always innovating and staying ahead of the curve. Provides the opportunity for excellent work life balance compared to other types of practices. Can tailor hours that to what you want to work. Also allows the physician to focus on clinical care of the patient rather than dealing with business aspects. Electronic medical record system is very efficient and easy to learn and use. Compensation...

    Cons

As the company has grown, communication between management and clinicians is not efficient at times. Driving can be a drawback depending on how far you have to travel and how many patients you can see. High turnover with skilled facility staff and wound nurses

    Advice to Management

    Centralize communication.

    Pros

Superiors speak about supporting the team

    Cons

The superiors don't follow through with supporting the physician team.

    Advice to Management

Owner needs to watch company closely, superiors aren't conveying honest territory needs.

I have been working at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

VWP is a physician owned and physician managed wound care partnership. My practice is autonomous, but supported by many peer managers who are always available for consultation and advice. Management is also available at any time for questions about policy or suggestions for improvement. There always seems to be a conversation happening about how we can improve our delivery of advanced wound care.

    Cons

None to speak of at this time.

I have been working at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time

    Pros

I thoroughly enjoy my job function of helping new facilities that need wound care services for their residents, and formulating relationships with the physicians I manage. Vohra really is the industry leader in this space and has the best business model (Physician based) than any of our competitors. I genuinely like my colleagues and have made the most money (annually) with Vohra than any previous employer. Vohra does...

    Cons

Some of the items I would like to see either changed or brought back are the mileage reimbursement and matching 401K contributions. The reimbursement is currently lower than the federal standard and last year they stopped matching the 401k.

    Advice to Management

Continue and grow current wound care program to all 50 states. In an attempt to widen the company's portfolio they sometimes try new initiatives outside of wound care. Stay the course, stick to what we know and are good at, and Vohra could become a household name for wound care nationwide.

    Cons

Note: This review (4th submission) has been watered down to the point that many important specifics have been omitted under "trade secrets" terms violations. So here I go again. I was recruited by VOHRA Wound Care Physicians rather persistently in 2016 after responding to their ad. The job title as a wound care physician involved...

Have the decency to honor the most basic aspect of a contract, otherwise rewrite the contract. Stop lying to and threatening those physicians who provide exclusively wound care services. Stop overpromising.

I worked at VOHRA Wound Physicians part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some independence with arranging your own schedule.

    Cons

As a physician working for this company, I had hoped that I would be allowed to practice without being monitored for the number of debridements that I chose to perform. I have always been trained to treat patients appropriately based on the clinical need for intervention. I have never been expected to debride every wound presented to me until joining this company. Many patients...

Thank you for your review. Kindly contact us so we can identify the senior MD who “recommended” that you increase your debridements to improve reimbursements. This is not something taken lightly and we would like to look into this immediately.

I have been working at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Quality and good performance are rewarded. This is the most innovative, progressive physician group in post-acute care.

    Cons

Poor quality is not tolerated. Company constantly audits quality of physician services. This may be too much pressure for physicians who do not strive to improve.

    Advice to Management

Value and reward good employees. Terminate employees that tarnish the company reputation. Do not tolerate mediocrity.

I have been working at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Being a physician is such a rewarding experience, however it really takes a toll on my time with my wife and children. I missed so much of my kids milestones and events because I was always on call and working odd hours. With Vohra I have a flexible schedule during regular hours. I don't work past 5:00 and am never on call. I have the weekends to spend time with my family and still enjoy the perks of what I went to school...

    Cons

I live in a rural area so sometimes the travel can be a bit much. I suppose this isn't really a con against the company based on my choice of where to reside/practice. I now have personally figured a way to make my schedule work by mapping out facilities within the same vicinity of each other and tend to those patients one day and then make my way to all of the facilities in other areas on other days. Thankfully I love...

I worked at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Company headquarters are in southern Florida where the weather is nice and sunny most of the time. The office park is professional and updated. Benefits are mediocre

    Cons

Dishonest and sleazy owners and management. Nothing truthful comes from their mouths. Corporate management has sordid past lives…., just Google their names and see for yourself. Scary to think that a physician-led company has employees who are physicians but cannot practice because their license was revoked.

    Advice to Management

Honest, hard working people work for you, but your ethics and moral compass are tied to greed, money and lies, which instills fear and paranoia in all the employees.

I worked at VOHRA Wound Physicians full-time

    Pros

Great autonomy and hours. The pay is what you make of it. However, can be difficult to ramp up practice given other veteran Vohra Physicians in the area. They already have the better facilities covered. Thus the newbie gets to drive farther distances for smaller facilities and spends more time making less money.

    Cons

Very greedy company. They are not interested in keeping the physician happy or compromise. Rather they are only interested in bringing in profit. This may work for veteran employes but newbies often get a rough treatment. Experience very dependent on practice manager. I would not recommend this job unless it is your last option as a physician....
