    Approves of CEO

I worked at VSP Vision Care full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good culture, mission, and opportunities for advancement. In the claims department, you have a flexible schedule and are encouraged to work from home.

    Cons

Agility in bringing innovation and upgrades to systems and processes. VSP preaches innovation but don't have the necessary resources to implement continuous quality improvement initiatives and streamlined solutions that will save them money. Also, Customer Care Department can sometimes feel like second class citizens to the other lines of business.

    Advice to Management

Retain top talent and learn to work with the millennial generation. Intellectual capital is very important! Senior Management in Customer Care treats all employees as expendable not realizing the opportunity cost when talented, hard working employees leave the department or the company all together.

I worked at VSP Vision Care for more than 5 years

    Pros

Benefits, work from home, 4 day work rate

    Cons

Too many employees so time and an abundant claims that can’t age so competing for vacation dates & it is by seniority . Too many long term so they scratch each other’s back rather than terminate some that play favorites towards other long term employees. They had 1 employee that they kept moving her but she never changed.

    Advice to Management

If you have worked their for 20 years go to another company. Let others get to move positions
