    Good temporary job while looking

Nov 30, 2022 - Customer Service Representative (CSR)

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Benefits are great for vision care Training is fun Working from home is a plus

    Cons

A lot of micro management, they track when you log into the computer down to the minute and if you log in to early they have a “talk” with you. They track your calls, login times, they can see your screan while doing audits. None of that is an issue but the calls auto answer and you hardly have time in between to breath you are constantly answering calls you get breaks but with the micro management being so intense it’s hard to even relax without worrying about being on time. For vacations you can only put it in when they tell you which means you need to plane out months ahead of time. From a technology perspective the software could easily be limited down to one software to do it all but instead there are different software for scheduling time cards (which you have to fill out yourself) calls, and benefits and so many others I can’t even name. If you want to grow there isn’t much room my supervisor said I needed to wait even thought Csr is not a good business fit for me. This job sucks the life from you and there isn’t much work life balance. I have work from home successfully for many years with no issues no micro managing. Currently looking for a better opportunity somewhere else and I’m not the only one.

Mostly a good company to work for

    Sep 24, 2022 - SHIPPING CLERK/WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

    Pros

Good benefits, good people to work with and vibrant, growing business.

    Cons

By getting busier, some worrying trends are emerging in our company. Standards for the quality of work are falling. The company has hired temps who do as little as possible to get by and ARE PAID MORE THAN THE ENPLOYEES! More work is being put on the reliable employees, generating more stress and tension. More and more good employees are leaving to either retire or going to better jobs. My job is not as fun as it was.

    Great Company, Terrible Position

    Sep 28, 2022 - CEC Supervisor
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Positive culture and dedicated group of peers, fully remote

    Cons

They preach work life balance and that may be true for other positions in the company but certainly not supervisors in the call center. Minimum 10 hour days, no time for breaks and that is during the slow season. They have just announced they are moving to a "responsible vacation" model so that you can take vacation you need "as business allows" No more vacation accrual. There is no vacation allowed for 6 months out of the year as it is. With the challenges upper management has with consistency across teams your vacation will be up to your boss with no recourse for you. There is basic training with the expectation that you figure it out- as you tell your team of 20 what they are doing wrong. It is a no win scenario daily.
